Whether or not the pulley has something to do with this i do not know but you can’t buy a much bigger intercooler than what i have.
So i can’t really see the point of changing the set up to the degree that has been said here.

It really is as bad as we say, and the only way to stop it is to move the TB, and then run a nice big BOV to evacuate the excess air that is between the TB and the SC when the throttle closes.
