1) Is the first generation 4age fitted in ae82 rollas supposed to have a diagnoisis port!? I dont know whether they are meant to have one or somebody that previously owned my car removed it! I noticed my mates ae92 fxgt has one  The diagnosis port is usally mounted on the strut tower and has another module mounted on the firewall. The reason being is i need to do a self-diagnois on my engine as it aint running rite but my car doesn't appear to have one, things then get pretty tricky!!! :?

2) Oxygen sensors - these sensors are supposed to monitor the amount of oxygen content in the exhaust gases and adjust the fuel/air mixture accordingly. How important are these sensors cuz not all first gen 4age's such as mine have them, why is that? Could that explain why my car still is running too rich??? :?

in regards to 2, if its an NZ new one then it wont have the O2 sensor but it will have a mixture adjustment unit that you can play around with if ya feel the need.

in regards to question 1 u don't have a diagnosis port that is labelled like the 1 in ae92 but u will have a plug hanging sumwhere by the firewall and strut on the left hand side which when u bridge 2 pins of the plug together and turn off the car and then turn it on again it will give u a fault code flashing with ur engine light in the dash of ur car .
From this u count how many flashes u have and it will give a fault code , if there is any .
The 2 pins that short together are te1 and e1 on the check connector which is what that plug is called.
Hope this answers ur question or helps :D

hmmm, damn, I had an AE82 GT, and did the codes on it ... I am thinking it was a very obvious plug in the engine bay. But this is going back about 7 years though.
