I wouldn't bother with VTNZ/Testing stations. I take my mums car(323) to the same local garage we've used for many years and if there's a problem, they fix it...and the car gets a WOF(whatever it costs). They used to happily do the RX7 too.

The GSR is the same. I have taken it to the same mechanic(albeit in town)since buying it and I don't have any of these pissy issues where you fail a WOF for having a bulb blown somewhere. If there's something like that, a new globe gets fitted and voila!...WOF.

Other than being available at weekends, I can't understand why anyone in their right mind would go to a testing station especially if they've read the consistant stream of horror stories on the net about them.

unfortunatly like any person with the aurthority to refuse aurthority
they tend to get overzeloust and headstrong
fequently oversteping the extent of there job description to help them with any personal cause they may have

unfortunatly they do have the right to if they are unsure on anything make you prove thats its legal

fact is under current law anything that is not as the maker of the car designed developed and distributed they can fail you on

we are just lucky that a few people can see that some items are just straight out rubbish

so next time you deside that the warrent man is been a arse
remember that its the regulations that allow this to happen and this is what needs to be fixed

fact is is they all followed every guideline of the wof manuel very few cars would get a wof

its a frightning thought
but very much a reality

just my thoughts
