chassis code will help, i think TRD do one, otherwise just ring a few car performance places and see if they can help you out.

If yours is an 83 drop hatch model it SHOULD have a U code diff for which LSD was available. Unfortunately my latest info says it is out of production. There are a few secondhand ones floating around, but they are not cheap. Good luck finding one.

They're not exactly the strongest diff setups. Convert to T series or even better G series. LSD's are more common for those. Big job thou.

We all do Warwick. We've searched the world for an alternative to the TRD unit. With no luck.
Trouble now is that not only do TRD not produce the 6.0" LSD but they no longer make the repair kit either.
So if you find a 2nd hand item which is a bit worn, you can't buy the clutch pack to beef it up again.
Better option is to look at ways of installing the 6.7" AE86 unit. This will be around for some years to come, as will the repair kit.

Yes. If you have enough power to need a LSD you probably need a stronger diff and axels.

Other option is to go to a escort LSD - same width as a Starlet Diff, plenty of parts & ratios avail, 6.5", with abit of fabrication in she goes.

Problem is like most LSD's its not cheap and new is probably the best option being as 2nd hand ones are only about $300-$400 cheaper and could be well worn.
