How to restore window rubbers? And remove.......

Postby MINTFX » Thu Dec 09, 2004 8:51 pm

Hey all, The window rubbers on my corolla are starting to show theyre age and brings down the look of the whole car. They just look faded and have a bit of crap on them where there used to be a leak. Can anyone recomend anything to clean them up? Someone said to paint them but I wasnt sure because of the paint crackling off? Any comments and tips would be great.

Also the previous owner put a sticker on the rear windsheild and I was wondering if there is an easy way to remove it without recking the rear demister.

There is rubber restoration stuff that works very well at supercheap autos.

Is the sticker on the outside or the inside of the rear windscreen?

You could use a heat gun to soften the sticher then it would just peel off.
Dont get too carried away with the heat gun though.
