At the moment i have shell 100+ racegas in the mr2, got about 1/4 of a tank left from the drags yesterday, better than the jungle juice supplied at the servos....just a bit more expensive tho

Gull was one of the last fuels to be imported into NZ, not sure if this is still the case. They sold regular 91 and 97 octane(for the price of 96 elsewhere)
Both BP Ultimate and Mobil Synergy 8000 are a minimum of 97.5 octane...so other than Avgas, thats as good as it gets.

world rally fuel from ELF. semmingly good for 75hp (with the right programme ) in a Suby. good for about 35hp in a modded 3T, until the fuel union comes out of carb.very clean burning, and smells like lollies.

Gull imports all there fuel.

And the rest of country imports about 70% of their fuel.

The marsden point oil refinery is too small to even think about making an impact on nz's fuel.

personally in my car '92 rolla 1.6 XL standard it is meant to run 96, but i put 91 in and honestly there is no difference, and if there is any its too bismall (tiny) to even notice.

from experience, the 96 is actually cheaper to run even though the price is higher. i was getting much higher mileage from a tank of 96 than the 91 in a Corona.

yeh but then again the corona is a bigger engine. It all depends on how hard I push the car aye - if i give shit you can watch the fuel gauge drop.

you also have to remember what the car was designed to run on...
iv heard (but havnt been able to find out for sure) that 96 is the lowest they have in japan.

cetainly anything with a hint of performance (20vs, turbos etc etc) should NEVER be run on 91

uhh... what about a 2.0L turbo sigma (1984) running on 91 :D.

it drinks about as much petrol as it does oil so its life expentancy dosnt worry me.

and yes, the turbo does work. :D brum brum, wiz wiz :D
