yep its points ignition.
check the contact breaker gap, inside the distributor,
check the dizzy rotater mount tightness, check for any play etc.
also turn the engine over with the dizzy cap off, and check for any arcing. If there is, replace the condensor.
whats the overall condition of your dizzy?
