Postby CozmoNz » Thu Dec 16, 2004 12:03 am

whats that noise, im sure you all know what im talking about.

at idle, not in gear, press clutch in *release clutch*, and a noise comming from the gearbox area, will stop, im guessing its the thrust bearing, or release bearing or something.

but can someone tell me excactly what it is ^_^ just for my own knodledge.

yea sometimes the release bearings get noisy.
The release bearing only spins when the clutch is in, and theres pressure on the bearing against the pressure plate.

It is, just a bearing, and wear out like any other bearing.
