Headlight and wof query

Postby Ae92typeX » Sat Dec 18, 2004 8:30 am

My Brother just failed his wof because his headlight had a crack and chip in it.
Although its a honda, family loyality pressures me into fixing/replacing it.
Now my question:

Its a stoopid 87' accord with non pop up lights (nz new?). All the wreckers ive been to dont have one.

Is it ok/legal to repair the light- eg- clear fibreglass.

In the wof sheet I can only see that a car can be failed if the light has a crack/hole that lets moisture in. If I repair it, it wont & its also not in a position where it will effect the beam of the light.

Just wondering if anyone knows, cos im not going to spend a day getting it all mint only to fail it.

I dont see a problem with it as long as it doesnt affect the beams focus
