for taking off the winder clips I usually just push the pannel in a little and get a very thin screw driver in between to push off the clip.
ive also done it with a rag- hooking it over the correct way and pulling the clip off (hard to explain). Never had an issue doing with a screwdriver on my ae92 when I had it though

You should be able to put the circlip on the plastic piece and tap it on assembled...
