Anyone With Compressed Springs?

Now I don't want this to be another case of do they need certified...that is not the question and quite frankly I don't care.

Does anyone have compressed springs in their car? I have standards compressed 65mm in my KE70, they stay captive fine in the front, and stay captive in the back thanks to KE70 wagon shocks, and it is miles off bumpstops. It bounces around like a bastard and really $&#$% me off.

Just wondering if other people could say what their ride is like on compressed springs, before I am put off them for life.

We had a corolla years ago with compressed springs, and it did the same.

Looks really funny watching it drive down the street, bouncing away!

I have heard that compressed springs have a knack of sagging after a while. But depending on how they were done they may just be far too hard for your car?

i bought an FXGT that has compressed standard springs. its reeal low (probably illegal) but it doesnt seem to hit the bumpstops unless you go over a real bad bump. my mate has an AE82 with jamex lowering springs, makes my car seem like your riding on a pillow.
there is too much body roll, makes for bad handeling but still a bit better than factory.
id never get compressed springs - just a cheap way to make the car look cool

heh, my car sits a tad low in the back. i rekon the previous owner took it into town to often with the boys after he got the springs compressed.

they do take a while to settle

Its hard to get springs for KE70's, they are all cut...

my old ke70 had compressd springs aswell. Ended up settling quite nicely. Ye it is quite bumpy, but i got used to it.

Just make sure the stacked chicks sit up front!!

i've got compressed springs in my AE111 levin, they are a lil bumpy but they don't bounce around everywhere like u have said urs do. like sum1 said earlier maybe they are just a lil to soft therefore a lot of bouncing around.

And yes the back springs do usually go a lil lower than the front, to balance it out put sum lead in the front and its all gud

overall i think they are definitely value for money shorten ur shocks possibly for a less bouncier ride.
