here it is. Straight from the blacktop engine manual. This should cure the on/off throttle jerkyness with everything else being correct.
Get dmm (aligator clips recommended), long slim feeler gauges or lengths of wire of 0.8mm (0.031"or 0.032") and 1.0mm (0.040") diameter and a stubby or right angle phillips screwdriver.
remove plug from tps
note the position of the four pins. Looking down at the tps and with the square dodad on the left the pins are from top to bottom VC, VTA, IDL, E2.
the throttle stop screw and lever is located between 2 and 3 throttle bodies behind the throttle cable bellcrank on a 20v. Should be easy to see on a blue/red top.
with the throttle closed the resistance between VTA and E2 should be 0.3-6.3kohm.
with a 0.8mm (0.031") guage between the throttle stop screw and lever the resistance between IDL and E2 should be 0.5kohm or less, maybe as low as 1ohm. This measurement is critical to eliminate the on-off jerk.
with a 1mm (0.040") guage resistance between IDL and E2 should be infinity (open circuit?)
with the throttle fully open resistance between VTA and E2 should be 1.8-11.5kohm
fully open resistance between VC and E2 should be 3.5-6.5kohm
to adjust the tps loosen the two screws and rotate it to get the required reading. The 0.8mm is the most critical measurement and as long as that and the 1mm measurement are right the rest should be within range aswell. It wont need much movement at all and will be fiddly to get right.
hope this helps.
all so the same precedure for the the other map 4age engines I believe
