If i go ahead with this, it will be done in stages as the budget allows... meaning that Il be keeping as much as possible standard until the need for more power arises, doing the initial conversion and running slightly higher than standard boost (10psi or so) then upgrading fuel/ecu etc wen the $$$ refills, I also have the oppertunity to buy a RS legacy W2A I/C for dirt cheap in a couple of months, would that serve the purpose?
Thanks again
The legacy w/a is an excellent choice. Fits in the stock location (but you need to move the battery), and is ideal for a mid engined car with few options for a/a intercoolers.
Finding the exact spot for the turbo is quite difficult, if you take the engine out then make sure you take good measurements of how much room you have in various directions and take note of things which will get in the way, like shifter cables, clutch lines, oil filter etc. We ended up putting mine above the exhaust manifold, about in line with the distributor, but your placement will depend heavily on what turbo you use
