tachometer on engine conversion

Postby rollaholic » Mon Jan 17, 2005 7:52 pm

alright, so i've got an AE82 GT which has had a 4AGZE from an AE101 levin installed in it, plus link ECU. the tacho doesnt work, and i'd rather not go for a monster or whatever cause A) they look dumb B) it'll just get stolen and C) it'll give the game away :P

i read on these forums ages ago that you can use some kinda pickup from a mitsi to get it running - the car has twin coil setup. what i wanna know is, how do i do it, and what part do i need?

cheers all :)

tacho interface, got mine off a vr4, just hook to inlets off the interface to the 2 -ve wires on the coil pack, then the out signal to the tacho.
