True... But reserve capacity is number of mins at a draw rate of 20A until the battery reachs 10.8V (1.8V per cell)... For mine that's 120mins...
so 2 hours at 20A per hour... 40Ah... so that was actually done from the reserve cap... so it's 40Ah until battery reaches 10.8V....

Or 15 amps at 12V...
I'm not sure where that was leading...
Oh and I was wrong...
780CCA is 780Amps across 10 sec, or 78 amps per second at 0 deg C (until battery reachs 10.2V)
1100MCA is 1100A across 10 secs or 110 amps per sec at 0 deg C...
Basically it can provide current quite effectively...

Just run a smaller battery, Like one of those electric wheelchairs, they are small, and will draw less charging current.
When the battery is charged the current will drop more. The alternator will only charge as much as can be used, so you might as well leave it connected with a smaller battery and disconnect some electrical things, lights and shit.

That makes no sense at all. You're still using the same amount of power, no matter what your battery size.

Welll... not necessarily... But to be honest I doubt that a smaller battery would mean less charging current. My battery is almost new so i doubt it's needing a serious charge. So I would say the charging current is relatively small in any case.

While on the track I doubt I will be using un-necessary things anyway like my headlights/fan etc. But everything will have to be there. I could take out two of my stop lights I guess... Would still leave two plus high stop light... but other than that there is very little I could disconnect electrically...
