tyre sizes for 97 celica

i need new tyres for my car and on there at the moment are 195 55 15's

am i best to stick with these or can i go wider? which is best for the car?

Id say 205 50's should do well. thet way the rolling diameter doesn't really change so you have less chance of the tyre rubbing in the guards than say if you had 205 55's or 60's.
