what you'll need is a decent computer to get the most out of them.

Ya could get an apexi S-AFC. go for about $300 - $400 second hand.
Or if your any good soldering, you could get a 'MegaSquirt' programmable ECU kitset.

Research it for at least a month before biting the bullet. Or attempt to get as much help from a local Megasquirt support group.

only way u could run it on a silvertop is aftermarket ecu (no point using it then) or if you use a blacktop ECU and loom.

But from what iv read the SAFC2 will work on a silvertop (2nd ver digital one) but they are around $5-600

Can any gains be made by using an SAFC Gen 1 on stock motor (minus intake and exhaust mods) ???

I'm using SAFC (1) on my silvertop, and, no gains are so minimal, but you can fix lean out problem in mid range, so it will feel nicer... that about it..
SAFC will run on AFM.

sergei :
what setting do you have it on at the back of the unit? as you can use 1gg but since its a 6cyl AFM the rpm marks on the afc are wrong.
