KE30 K40 speedo problems

Postby jeremiahnz » Mon Mar 14, 2005 11:01 am

On the weekend I was trying to get the speedo going on my KE30 (K40, 3K). The issue seems to be that the gearbox end of the speedo cable is not catching properly in the sender. I pulled the sender out of another K40 I had that I beleive came out of a KE70 (came with a 4k). The bit that the cable slots into is a slightly different design, one that looks much more effective, which makes me think it may have been a design revision because this issue. So what I was wondering was:

1) has anybody had this problem with the speedo cable slipping in the sender, if so, what did you do to fix it?

2) will a speedo cable from a KE70 connect to the back on the speedo in the instrument panel in the KE30? Will there be any problems with lenght etc.

3) Anyone got any other bright ideas?

Cheers for that.
