check engine lights sw20 mr2

ok they all come on but nothing is wrong with the car like its normal temp and every thing like that it starts fine doesnt run funny it has oil ? what could it be ??



i did a seach nothing came up

What do you mean they all came on? Theres only one yellow/amber check engine light.

Multiple warning lights generally indicate a broken alternator belt. That would be the first thing to check.

well the belt is still there the egine fan light comes on the battery light comes on and the check engine light comes on

Then it's probably the alternator itself, check that the battery is charging when the engine is running.

well i drove it home from work last nite which is about 40 kms i think the battery would be flat by then woundt it and its starting fine

why does the exaust light come on when there is no alternator belt??? i get the charge light but uhh this dont seam to make sence to me

The dash uses the alternator as bulb check function so all those lights will come on when the alt light comes on.

They will all come on when the car is not running with the ign switched on.
That is normal. Amazing how many people don't know that.

have you done a dianostic test. bridge E1 and TE1 in the dianostic box (sorry dont know where it would be in a mr2)

Towards the drivers side of the engine bay, at the rear. It's clearly labeled and in a bit of an open space, its hard to miss.
