do a test. get a polystyrene cup. put half water and half coolant in it and then sit it in an ice cream container elevated so that the cup is off the base
leave it 12 hours and see how much and what it is that is left it the cup
coolant, glycol is a very small molecule (much smaller than water) so will have the ability to more easily get into gaps eg if you headgasket is slightly untorqued then the glycol could have the opportunity to head for you cylinders.... which is bad
