ae101 twin exhaust to single

Hi, i got my cat removed a while ago and I was having a gander at the back of the exhaust and as it goes into two smaller pipes from the original one. Can i ditch both and just have one single pipe from where it splits into two and just have a straight pipe, no muffler or 'phat pipe'?

Sure, you can do whatever you like. Personally, I like the look of the twin exhaust.

wouldn't splitting it into two pipes be less effective at releasing the gas? would one pipe have more flow?

The ass dyno might feel a difference, but I'm guessing the real dyno would tell you it's an insignificant one.

would it make it a little bit louder than it is? just like a little wank factor?

You're taking away 2 mufflers, so yep, I'm sure it would be a bit louder.

two 1.5inch holes flow more than 1 3 inch hole.

thats why 2 smaller valves are better than one big one.
hence why mutli valve setups are favoured these days.
