bodykit question

Postby Denerio » Wed Mar 30, 2005 8:13 pm

due to the lack of second hand kit for ae101's avalible has anyone modified a kit made for another car? how much of a mission is this and does anyone have photos of their results?

or perhapes and im only stabbing in the dark you could probably mod a celica kit to suit. the trd or "toms" kits for the levins look hot
drive it till it breaks, then upgrade it

We can do modified versions of BA Falcon V8 Supercar bumpers but they are quite expensive.

We've made our own kit for AE101 Levin/Trueno for years.
Front bumper, side skirts & rear fins.
Similar to BOMEX/D-Speed.

But frankly, if you're not prepared to pay around $500 for a bumper, you're away with the fairies.

yes maybe so but in all fairness who wants to pay if theres a cheaper more unique alternative? i think i might have a play modifying something standard thats a reasonably close fit.

does anyone know what cars have a bumper thats a simular size to the ae 101? ill just look out for a second hand one and see what i can come up with...you dont know until u try right?

Yeah it will be made to fit,

will cost about the same to modify as buying a new one that fits though, and that only to get it modified to fit, not to actually fit it, you'll still have to pay for fitting and painting,

Theres some company in the us that makes the kits for both levins & corollas, i dont have the website on me but can get it if you want, from memory they were fairly cheap.
Ending up with spare parts in assembling things since 1983

i got my kit for my levin from extreme bodylines in palmerston norht... they had heaps to chosose from... i went with like a veilside replicer... looked awesome once it was done, but fitting was very time consuming and then i had ot get it painted... i think the bumper was a bit over six hundred and then painting was extra.... still, you've got to spend your coin on something aye...
