the down pipe and the maniofold

ok, was looking for rims for my 205 on trademe, and saw these, really cheap!! i saw some japanese brands that are double or more in price, but these are cheap as dirt!! well compared to the jappys anyways....

now what does the manifold do? by putting thesre i mean what would it do, would it give more power? response for turbo? etc? everything, cos i can buy these easily and probably would love to buy them if it does good things:) also the downpipe, can i use the two in conjuction of each other and what would the two do, or individual do if i install one or the other??

thanks y'all

If the manifold is made properly, it will indeed give you a bit more power, due to equal length and exhaust pulses don't interfere with each other, and it's lighter.

The downpipe is pretty obvious - freer flowing and lighter.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

ok ask around on the other forums,
this guys products are shit, heaps of tragic stories out there, try nzhondas for instance

im fixing a botch up at the moment, this guy magicspeedrx7 wont return emails, wont give any proper details and just denys any responsibility.
this customer i have done work for purchased about 1500 worth from this guy for his s13 and was guaranteed it would be a direct bolt on, he now regretts it, it is not decent stainless just some chromed crap
i have to remove the turbo flange and re mount 10mm higher to clear engine mounts, abs etc, make a new down pipe because the flanges is different and there is no way it will bolt to turbo.

Heard plenty of things about those manifolds cracking too, I asked on a previous auction, he reckons they have a life time guarantee
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!

the uglier the better, pitch black is perfect lol. I saw one on there a while ago with an external wasteout outlet too.

good feed back is easy, because they generally arrive quickly, they are all shiny and bling bling,

its more of a couple of weeks / months down the track when they actually try to fit them and they dont fit, or if they do fit they have cracked from being use

go for them for down / dump pipes.

Damn straight. I use an Aussie downpipe on the mr2. You'd be hard pressed to get a local muffler maker to get them to that quality.

y dont u ask evil si nicely to make u a manifold and downpipe , as he is a fabricator and he does an extremely good job as i and many people can vouch for . And there aint nuthing like a custom set up for your car will produce much better results than off shelf carp ! 8)

oh and they are a gen2 not a gen 3 manifold - XSpower are NOT at this stage making a manifold for the ST205 or ST215 heads. That trademe user knows nothing about what he sells and does not even stock the items he advertises. Be warned.
