What Generation 4A-GZE do I have?

Postby Rick » Mon Apr 25, 2005 4:45 pm

I would like to know what generation 4A-GZE I have, the motor is MAP with DLI so it is either from a AE-92 or AE-101

On the computer it has the following:

Toyota Part Number: 89661-12790
Denso Part Number: 175700-3371

so if anyone can identify my engine that would be great.

At a glance the AE101 engine had a newer style dipstick and the ae92 has a yellow one.
The AE101 intercooler cover has the newer toyota symbol and the ae92 just has twincam 16 valve supercharger in red and no symbols
Often toyotas have the year on the ignition leads.

yeh my leads have 1991 written on them, which is the change over year and it doenst have a top mount/cover, but I will go with what Mr Revhead said.
