Hmmm, its fast approaching the Seralicious's 100, 000k birthday, can I get advice on what it will need to make her happy on this special occasion??

Its auto (shame) and has had regular servicing, does it need anything special? Also whats up when you put your foot on the brake and it feels like its bouncing as you slow done (pedal not car bouncing that is)

100,000 you'll probably want to check plugs, cambelt done if you haven't yet, fuel filter, replace any fluids that need doing (gearbox etc). As for your pedal you'll probably want to get the rotors machined or replaced to fix that.

you can @ least get 250,000kms if you keep the maintence. 100kms most important thing is the cambelt. get that done first priority.
as said above about your brake pedal. your brake rotors need machining(or replacing) but machining is good enough. you may also want to consider replacing the brake pads as they can wear unevenly with the discs causing a funny noise

Cool, thanks guys! I have a feeling the cambelt aint cheap though, lol, its WOF is due in two weeks, guess Ill find out then how pies my brakes are!

Cambelt is pretty cheap to buy just the belt from Repco. The expensive part is paying for labout for someone to install the cambelt if you can't do it yourself.

As for you disks...I've just been through the same thing in the Soarer. Brought brand new disks and pads and she's all fine now. I'd recommend rather than machining get new disks and then new pads to go with the disks. It's pointless getting new disks and then not new pads.

Also flush your brake lines after getting the brakes done.

not unusual for cambelt parts to be dearer aftermarket than genuine..

wont cost too much for the sera. $250 maybe?

certainly do the pads, fluid and discs, no point only doing half a job

With the pedal bouncing it could also be a ball joint on the lower arm thats stuffed. Have known to be wrong though

does the car have ABS?
i've been in a few freshly imported ABS equipped cars that had a pulsing in the brakes , and was fixed by putting fresh fluid in the system

if the wheels lock up when you press the breaks hard then you dont have abs.

Well, Im a chronic tail-gater and I dont know the difference, I always slam em on, shut my eyes and hope for the best, any other way to tell?

drive down a road (empty) at say ummmm 50-60 and slam on the brakes , then report back to us what happens :lol:

Yeah, my technique needs to be refined a little! Can I do it on a hill? I live on a hill and I can go really fast!! lol!! and its way more fun going down hill with eyes closed!
