excessive clutch travell

Postby fatgtr » Thu Jun 30, 2005 6:49 pm

hey there

got an aa report on a car. it stated it has excessive clutch travel. the pedal felt really easy to push. its a hydrolic clutch (im only used to cable clutches so it could be normal) also the clutch had been replaced 25,000km ago.

the aa report states the clutch engages at end of travel

how do i fix this
cheers

James

bleeding the clutch will help, but you can also adjust the travel at the pedal

mine is the opposite. I was told when i got mine it had a new clutch put in. Mine engages really early, like before its 1/2 way to the floor but it bites really well and is easy to use.

engaging the clutch is refering to releasing the pedal.
