KE70 Indicator's Not Flashing

Postby pervert » Tue Jul 26, 2005 12:16 pm

Anyone know exactly where the 'flasher unit' is located on a KE70 Corolla?

Indicators are only flashing when the feel like it, other times they just come on as a constant light...

One would imagine the flasher unit needs smashed and replaced, but feel free to steer me on a more accurate path if there is other alternatives on what I need to be smashing and replacing/cleaning contacts...???

My advice would be:

Scrap it, let go of your inner hairdresser inhibitions and buy an SW20 8)
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

first, just check all bulbs, if one bulb is out, the whole system is rooted as it has some weird ground looped system, failing that, trace the wire up under the dash for the flasher unit, its on the drivers side :)

Pretty sure the bulbs are all fine, I checked a few days ago, the problem seems to come and go. I've had a bulb out before and never noticed anything abnormal though... :?

Anyway, thanks for the flasher unit location help, I figure I'll just replace that, and see if the problem dissapears...seems the easiest way...

...and Adamal, I love hairdressers...the nice little hot ones... 8)

Thanks, sounds like a nice permanent fix...

Maybe I should just not worry at all and flick the stalk up and down instead...

Sounds silly i know, but the exact same thing happened in my KE70 Wag, one day just after i got it the indicators just decided to stop working, flicked on the hazards, then it was all sweet again for another 6 months
