bearing in mind its a custom drive shaft, and a supposed w58 in an ae86

someone got any ideas? im about ready to chuck this damn car in the scrap heap the amount of trouble ive had...

tighten the spring inside of the seal, install the seal that way that it will seat in different position from last seal (either litle bit forward or further in)...

yep. sometimes they crack lip in a way that it is impossible to see if they are fitted, and it is almost impossible to remove them without damaging...

the lip is in perfect condition

the seal is in a very similar place to the old one, its in there the right way blah blah etc

i tested it over the driveshaft before i inserted it into the box and seems that it fits on there ok, not super tight but its a snug fit oh well another $30.00 wasted

when you replace the old seal with new one, especially on high kms car, it is best to install new seal in slightly different position, as the old seal possibly made a groove with it's lip on the shaft...
