Hey guys.
Just went to get some mags for my car. They were all sweet to go on, then they tried fitting the back ones, and they didnt fit, not enough clearance with the strut. I have an ae92 levin, and they were putting 17's on there. The offset was 40.
They were going to tap the strut up with a persuasion tool, but they didnt because they said it would weaken the strut cup, and could eventually break.
The question is, they are going to put longer studs in, and then use spacers to get them to fit. They didnt bother to tell me that I wouldn't get a warrant with the spacers, but only if the spacer was welded onto the wheel, and then it would get a warrant?
Is there any truth behind that? What does the law state?
What do you guys think?
