uniden car alarm q's

got a uniden car alarm,the v1000
i bought a glass brake sensor of trademe for the differnt modeled uniden alarm,but the v1000 has a option to add a glasss brake sensor,says in the manual.im wanting to know if any one has a glass brake sensor atached to there uniden alarm and maby some think is missing from mine???

I think it hooks up on the same wires as your vibration sensor. you can connect it yourself or buy a 'y' connector.

yer it came with the y plug but thats connecterd to the vibration sensor and motion dector,dam my car will have a mean alarm!

but the plug for the glass brake sensors conection is only .5mm long with two prongs and the y plug is a 4prong conection,about 1cm long

wat to do?

Will most likely only be able to use it as a single stage shock sensor, you need to splice into the glass break sensor wiring though. Do a quick search on the net, the wiring diagrams are on there somewhere.

the alarm i have is compatible for one though
the one on the uniden pamflet i got with the alarm looks identical to the sensor i bought,but theres a box missing that looks similar to a shock sensor

part number on the pamflet is sea857

dude

you only have the microphone part of the sensor. you need the "actual" sensor part that converts the noise to an output.

one thinks you may have been stiched as you only have half the sensor....

yip thats the one,do you know if any one is selling one for cheap?
the glass brake sensor was free anyway as it came with the motion dector
