Alloy nut for temp sensor

Postby Akane » Wed Aug 10, 2005 10:25 pm

I have attained my Gen 3 3S-GTE air intake temp sensor, but finding an alloy nut that lets this sensor to be screwed into is a bit of problem.

I went to a bolt and nut shop today (The bolt shop, Sunnybrae North Shore), and the guy said it's a 2mm thread, not exactly M16, but like a tad smaller like M15.7 or something. And no alloy nuts.

It has to be alloy to be welded onto my GReddy intercooler pipings.

Can anybody point me to the right direction for finding such nut? Thanks.

Go see a machine shop.

If you don't need flats on the 'nut' then a piece of round stock drilled and tapped will be fine.

I could do it for a postage stamp if I had the sensor.

Owwwwww thanks for the offer, but I can't afford to lose this sensor over transit. I guess I'll have to see a machine shop.
