Is depend on the particular car of course, but yeah around 80-100kms the lower arms will fail, which you will tell as there will be movement in them and youll get knocking/creaking noises.

As for lowering, depends really. Set of lowering springs are the same price, however if you want to go really low then only TRD do coilovers for Super Strut. Around $4K!

Problem with super strut is that there isnt alot of aftermarket parts available, which can make it more expensive to replace the parts that do need replacing or upgrading etc. Front shocks are a good example, no one makes them aftermarket!

Erm, apart from the numerous Japanese companies that do parts if you look. Ever seen a Hyperrev?

We've got a library of HyperRev's here.

There are certainly a good number of companies making suspension for macpherson strut but as Warrick & aesc have stated, there are only a handful producing aftermarket super strut suspension.
GAB is the only one who I think have a local agent but I notice that their price is more expensive than TRD.
