Postby crnkin » Tue Sep 27, 2005 10:23 am

Hey guys,

Im thinkin out of the emmisions control pressure hole ibn the manifold, but the fuel is already mixed there, or should i just plumb it up to my custom airbox????

thanks!

(its completely stock carb and box sealed- setup btw)

Well, plumbing it off the airbox will just give you a vac reading, and not a terriably accuriate one.

you need to find somewhere, where vac exists (when not on boost), when Boost exists (when on boost haha), and that dosnt have fuel mixed with it.

I dont know jack about carbie turbos, but thats what ya need haha, the carbie must have some vac hoses on it though X_X.

Randly try some :D, its only vac hose.

Cozmo, if you dont know, STFU, k?

crnkin, tap a feed into the inlet mani, and run it from there, would be the best bet.

If you want a proper reading then you'll need somewhere after the throttle. As suggested, get a feed from the inlet manifold or just get a T-piece and go into a hole thats under vacuum when the engine is running

i'd put it into your box over your carb but you wont see vac much only boost really.

on my 4k turbo i have the boost gauge running fuel thro it and havet had and issues YET (only drivin it a handfull of times) its got issues

how are you regulating the fuel pressure? and are you retarding the dissy at all?

just got back from the lock up.

Currently has no exhaust and no oring to seal the turbo but it IS boosting a little, will finish the dump pipe and oil leaks on thurs

Yeah im gonna plumb it into the inlet manifold, im just running stock fuel for now, may take the jets out on thurs, and retard the dizzy to whatever works :)

seems to go alright tho and has a MEAN whistle!

yea i jst finished my exchast (except for the pipe off the wastegate  ) i'm running suck-tho and it blows flames out of the wastegate so i can't leave it exiting in the eng bay...

yea mine whistles hard out sounds sooo weird...

the best bit about it is the increase in torque. the first time i drove it it was pissing down with rain and i had it sideways down my whole street

what fuel reg u using :?:

if you run blow through you have to have a rising rate fuel reg.

standard fuel pressure= ~5psi, boost= ~7psi, its just gonna push the fuel back thought the pump.

mayb look for one off a cordia turbo or 12a turbo or a malpassi made for carbie turbos?? i don't think you could aucally use a mech pump cause they never really go past 6psi or so... so i'd use a ele one from the car u get the reg off?

you'd mount it after the pump b4 the carb and plumb the return back into the inlet of the pump or run a return line to the tank
