just to get this straight no one on this topic was comparing a bzr to a type r integra .
just the 1.8l vetec model and from my own experience puttting power aside it may be driver etc there did not seem to be much between them. i have yet to see a honda run 13s with air intake and cold airbox of the model i am speaking.

True the intitial question has been answered and like usual the topic has drifted.

I see your point and one that every one is forgetting POWER TO RATE RATIO the civic weighs less than an Integra or Levin with roughly the same h.p rating so it can get up and move easier as theres less car to push round.

Power to Weight perhaps? :P

Sorry guys, but at the end of the day, all the "my friend in his car can do X" stories don't cut it. If you want realistic and unbiased facts, take it to the track, and come back with timeslips. There are far too many variables in any of the "I raced X in my Y, and OWNED HIM SO HARD HIS NEONS BLEW UP!!~!" stories for any of it to be taken seriously.

Conveniently, theres a Yota vs Honduh drag day coming up that should provide ample opportunity for anyone interested to come along and put their wheels where their mouth is :)

so i guess this wont settle anything uless the owners of a bz-r go to the strip and put down some hard et's with stiff rear suspension, sticky tires, lightened boot and cabin, ram air and a full exhaust including headers then see the result.

on the other hand, some sir dude pair him up on the strip and see the outcome. night speed drags have begun already so i think the 2nd heat will begin next week, right guyz?

Nah, I think we will keep it for the Toyota/Honda Drag Day, as the classes are better for comparision. At Nightspeed, most N/A cars are group into the one class and you have 4age's up against B18C's etc. Not the best for comparison.
But I might head down anyway, just for a bit a track practise. :D

Yeah, low 15's are the average for a BZR, But I have done a 14.7 in mine at Meremere.
