anyone got any ideas about how to release a stuck clutch, last resort dropping the g/box, tried starting in gear, jacking up the back end and starting in gear and towing.....

Clutch's dont get stuck.

Something in the pressure plate or fork will have broken,

You will have to pull out the box.

i think the pressure plate has rusted on...making it stuck, it does it every winter but ive got it going before by jacking the rear up.

How fast were yougoing on the jack?
The clutch rusted on my parents sigma years ago, We jacked it up as high as the jack would go then dropped the car off at 120k's.

quite fast eh, it is a 13bt too so i was pretty much thrashing it.

dropped the g/box etc and what do i find a shit load of rust on the pressure plate and clutch! hopefully a good clean up and the problem will be solved.....
