On American cars the clutch has to be pushed in to start the car, that switch could be a leftover from the same kind of system that has been disabled.

as said, is wired onto many cars so it has to be pressed in to start the vehicle. Was more common in american market cars, but ive seen an increasing amount of new nz cars getting it also.

Yip AE-85 pedal box, converted to hydro, couldnt find a AE-86 pedal box so I had to modify my one to suit. What master cylinder did you use?

I didnt have to put the clutch in to start, so I guess I can remove the wiring for it then?

Unplug it, check everything still works, then remove it.

i ended up buying a brand new ae86 master cylinder from BNT, as a friend managed to hook it up at a good price. i'm not sure if it is goin to be enough for my new bigger brakes though.

yeh i'm pretty sure mine was never plugged into anything, so shouldnt harm taking it off!
