sounds great from what he says.

"One thing I will mention now is the factory stereo. The stereo in this car is one of the best I have heard outside of a Merc. The front speakers are quite good, and the nice addition of a factory 10” sub inbetween the speakers at the back lend this system a bass authority that normally requires a reasonably amount of money. Of course, it doesn’t satisfy a sound freak like me, but your average Joe music listener would quite probably be MORE than happy with the sound this car has out of the factory"

But don't forget, you're dealing with 10-15 year old gear, so the speakers could be starting to get a bit tired, stackers are reknown for dying and alot of people have swapped bits of the system for aftermarket bits.

The sound systems on the 2.5TT's is pretty average. But if you pick up a V8, they've got Nakamichi sound systems in them, = :D

He gave the Soarer to the wife and then bought the MR2 because of the problems with modifying the Soarers interior....

The man speaks truth. Installation difficulty wasnt the issue : cost was.

To do the install i wanted was going to set me back a MINIMUM of $30k. I dont have that money to spend right now :(

No idea, and its completely irrelevant anyway. 'More watts' doesnt equal 'better'.

Depends on the aftermarket headunit ;)

Yes, i do realise that - i told one of my pals it was 170 watts and that made them think it was a cheap sound system, that kind of annoyed me! but from what ive read its quite the opposite, not a cheap system by no means - you really need to hear the system to see if its good, facts and figures cant tell you everything

May be a Pioneer headdeck or something, however i would think the stock Headdeck is fine for me if its all working. Plus it fits in the dash fully (no gaps).

Ive actually found a soarer which im going to view this sunday - ill be able to test out the sound system then. Ill most likely be buying this Soarer if its as good as the pictures show it is...

On the VIR it shows no problems what so ever, 121,000kms, gold, UZZ30 (no gimmicky air suspension! ) and has a Mechanical breakdown 2 year warranty. Should be perfect, got to travel to Hamilton tho!
