Postby spencer » Fri Oct 08, 2004 2:03 pm

Ok after seeing this on japanese sites for like over $1000 I thought id make myself one for like $20 Im just posting this to see if there is any interest in making up a few more of these. Still got to sort a few things like who can make up some longer leads with the silly plugs the 20v leads have heres a few pics

Looks really good!
Is there a problem with the dizzy rotating the other way? Or does the computer not care?
Obviously the lead wires would have to be rearranged so they fire in the right order.

what sort of bearing you using? I have heard that the best type of bearing to use is the A/C type of bearing.

ahh.. saeco alternator bearings... go mint in your skateboard, just don't do any stairs with them, as they will shatter. :)

just a general bearing from a book that fitted, it is only spinning at half crank speed which is max of about 4000rpm. most general ball bearings are good for well over that

Ok I have had heaps of pms about this I only made several and am at uni so dont have any time to get these made. But Im going to design the major bits of the bracket in solid works or something and get a few made. then just get a mate to shorten a few dizzys, if I ever get around to it Ill post up on here. Im now running megasquirt with edis which is a better way to go
