Toyota Levin Ae111 Pinging Problems. Anyone Who Can Help???

Postby mauvis99 » Mon Nov 14, 2005 7:13 pm

Just a question, how do i get my Bzg to stop pinging? It like chokes sometimes when im hitting just over two thousand revs, when its cold or after a little rest, but if i rape it, it seems to sort itself out and it stops pinging. Anything i can do to fix it like send it in for some sort for repair? thanks. Im runnin 98, thought it would sort it out but yeah. any help appreciated thanks.

if you have timiing lights, know how to use them and know how to set it up on your car yes...otherwise, if the answer is no, its easier to just get a mechanic to do. Find one that charges in 1/2 hours and it wont cost much.

sounds like someone got the traniee apprentice to get those servies out the way...
Years ago when working at a servo, I was amazed to see how often it happened. People just out of a service, I'd reccomend they still check their oil. On so many occasions situations like the oil had been filled, filter put on, but the engine had not been run to fill the filter up the rechecked...

Yes both,

and both have 10 deg as factory from memory,
so set at 8 for NZ 96 or 98 fuel
