I have splashed out on an Alpine 9833 to replace my ooooolllld panasonic stereo.
I'm still running factory speakers and being nz new there are only four. With only 8" front and no high mounted tweeters the soundstage (?) needs lifting.
I'm planning on improvements, and have read the thread about available 8" drivers. I will definately get the factory tweeter mounts. Is it also worth getting door cards with the 5.25" mids?
With decent 5.25" components at the front (run off headunit) and 6.25 two way in the rear (run off headunit), should I then get a small 2 chnl amp to run the 8" driver in the front for base? As it is the doorcards buzz something wicked so sounddeadening is also needed.
Suggestions?
I *don't* want visible amps or a boot sub. This is not for competition, just I like reasonable sound.
