Postby blue-smoke » Sat Nov 26, 2005 7:02 pm

on the blue top gear box the leavers for the gear change are on the the drivers side of the gear box (when in the mr2) but the silvertop gear leavers are on the ass end of the cars side(when in the mr2) what do you think about how i might fix this problem as i have hear that if i run the cable straght over the top and extend them then the gears will to upside down , any help?

Ive read you can drill the control shaft housing soas it is like the rwd layout- essentially swapping the control shaft around 180 degrees. You then fill in/bung the old hole, or fit the aw11 end cap.
Its a pretty common thing to do when making a 3sgte box out of a sw20 into fwd in corollas, or in your case its just the opposite procedure.
Cant believe im still a member here.
