Postby Ganjasaur » Fri Nov 25, 2005 5:28 pm

Alsa corp does a heap of that sorta stuff, well selling the really good chrome lookalike for plastic & other things.

Look up www.chromepaint.com & u can order all you need from there if you want to do it yourself, might be an option if ur keen
Ending up with spare parts in assembling things since 1983

dont bother with chrome paint!

you can get plastic parts chrome plated,
I got my plastic air vents, tail light surrounds, headlight/guard surrounds done by these guys:

Rigg Electroplating Ltd 09 444- 4871

I think they plate them with copper first & then chrome plate the copper.

its expensive though..

Thats right! chrome wont stick to plastic as its no way metal so after alot of time and money you can have chrome plated plastic!

Im pretty sure air newzealand can do that sorta stuff aswell, and they can ussually be quite reasonable!

here are the 2 places i am currently looking at

094452982
021437669
grahame
Genfield Auckland

Universal Electroplaters
8 Lovegrove Cre Otara Auckland
0-9-274 7496

I have seen a job done by universal on a friends rx2 and liked what I saw. Grahame I think will be more expensive as his method costs more to do but will also give a better result.

As for price, Go see them and get a quote as depends on size etc....
