I'm getting my gear from PI, but yeah wanted to know if I could find them cheaper, other than tardme.
I might have a go at making it myself.
Is it better to have them divided? Like a wall between each sub?

single enclosure with both subs in it is better than dividing.
Best to make your own box - follow the box recommendations and build to suit your car.. otherwise go to MadSoundz in hams

Good sound doesnt come from any components, cheap or expensive if they are cheaply installed.

Either make a box your self to specification or get someone who can to do it. The box makes quite a difference when it comes to sound quality.

with regards to sub box specs, where do you find them? I have found general guidelines, but wouldn't it depend on the actual sub you have?

yes - but thats why you design the box according to the thiele/small parameters to ensure you build the optimum box for your sub and car :)
