External wastegate plumbing vs internal (help)

Postby ~SlideWays~ » Fri Jan 06, 2006 9:39 am

Hey,

Just a quick question, i'm setting up an external and could someone please tell me where the extra vacuum pipe needs to be connected?

Ie on a normal internal wastegate actuator, there is just one coming from the intake manifold. But on the external there is two.

Whats the story.

Thanks.

You leave one not connected (top one from memory), you should have a diagram with it...

And the amount of people I have calling at work saying "my external won't work and I've put the line on the top port like I should"

Just leave the top port open to free air, dont blank it off.

Sweet thanks everyone.

btw its a second hand 'new' one so no diagram.

No electronic controller so I guess it'll just be venting air.

Thanks again :)
