Rim size for race/rally and avgas

Ive got gt celica brakes on the front and drums on the back. if I get 14: will they fit cause the front callipers look pretty big.

depending on what model Celica, even 13" should fit unless they are rims and not alloys.

if you're playing on the seal there's nothing to be gained from going any bigger than a 185/60-14 unless you need a bigger wheel to clear big brakes.

For seal the more rubber that u have on the ground=more traction=more cornering speed=faster lap times.But going to big can be bad as it slows the car down on the straights.Id go for 14 or 15's.I have 205/50/15 on my 86 but want bigger. 225/50/15

But to tun 225's you'll want something like 8" rims otherwise you wont get the best out of the tyre on the track due to tyre roll.

check the off set, they look like the same FWD alloys that are on my old trueno now.

these wheels are truely the business. as used by the Works Datsun/ Nissan rally teams. light, strong, good offset and the shape encourages brake cooling.
beware, they could go for big money, $500+ but are still worth it, have seen them sell for $600 +.

Howdy peeps,
Im trying to figure out what wheel diameter to go with for my ke25 (dx/celica running gear) club car.
What do uz reckon 14", 15", 16", 17". I hear this can make a big difference to performance (even thou 17" is bling bling).
Ive been told bigger is not always better, is this true?
Any advice would be cool.
Also dose any one know where to get avgas in Palmerston North area etc.

Fielding air port is the way to go for avgas, you haven't told us what kind of rally you are looking at, gravel like everyone says the smallest wheels you can fit over your brakes, tarmac the smallest you can fit over your brakes combined with some reasonable width will be your best bet. Might run into you at some events if you like gravel, look for either a datsun 180b in midnight blue with mini lights or a 4 door starlet - unsure of the colour yet but alo running mini lights

Check your current rims offset. Providing they clear the struts and everything you should be fine with the same offset.

Consider also the added weight of a tire that big. Ofcourse...it all depends on the driver.
