old sub specs

Postby barryogen » Mon Jan 09, 2006 4:45 pm

I've done some googling for some old subs I've been given(well, got cheap), but I've having no luck figuring out what the hell they are.

They are Rockford Fosgate, 12inches, and have RFS1412 stamped on the back of them.

I gather from looking at other RF subs, that they are RF(RockfordFosgate) S1(series 1) (4)ohm, (12)inch.

But any ideas on the wattage etc?

The guy I got them off said they came with the amp(Punch 45.2) in a bundle of some sort.

The reason why I'm wanting to know the details is that a custom box will be being made(stealth to fit my boot), and I need to know the correct size to make it, rather than a generic 1 cubic foot(for each sub) from guidlines I've found online.

If anyone knows, just give me a yell. Ta.

*edit*
sorry, I should clarify.

I listen to radio and CDs, random music from cypris hill to ministry of sounds remixes, to some free remix stuff I get online, even so far as that larger aussie idol guy(the wifes CD), with plans to put some "decent" sounds in te car in the future, I don't want it to boom, I just want a bit more lower end sounds availible to my ears.

much abliged, it was indeed the correct manual, and I'm working it out at the moment... it appears that for that model the ideal size(according to the manual) is 1.47cubic feet, or ~48L per sub. although there is room to give it a bit more if you have it.
