hey, I know the main shafts/bearings of a t50 gearbox vary from the 20 to the 22 spline, but does the top shaft (is that what its called? or counter shaft) vary between the two boxes?
I need to replace mine but want to know if I HAVE to replace it with one out of a 20 spline box.

do you mean the front shaft??

im not sure but i beleive they are different from 20 to 22 spline boxes

theres the main shaft with all the gears etc and input and output shafts on each end...i'm talking about the other one.

ok ive been informed all shafts are interchangeable.

its called the layshaft or countershaft.

i have since found out the countershafts are not interchangeable between 20 and 22 spline t50s. although every gear is the same size and has the same number of teeth and all the bearings are the exact same size on the outside, they are a different inside diameter and one of the gears is cut on a slightly different angle so they don't sit right.
