Ah, yes, somewhat. You have seen me driving around Manfeild haven't you? I would probably be a little quicker if I toned down the agression somewhat, but where's the fun in that.

True true, i've always had that philosophy with grasskhana's n stuff.

Nah haven't seen you around manfeild, would mind though, since your car is similar to my fwd trueno.

Hmmm yeah just wondering about the slick and semi's cos I'd want to have a set for the track. Problem is they is bling moneys yo... and could get naffed pretty quick.

I've hardly put a dent in the slicks i used on the weekend, and that was after close to 30 hot laps....

They might be bling moneys y0, but its $$ well spent IMO

And it wasn’t like you weren't holding back or anything, although you did find their limits on a particular corner

But have to agree well worth the money after seeing how your car handled in comparison to other that were circulating 8)

Apart from the sidewalls on the rear tires ;)

I might have to investigate slicks at some stage, they look like a lot of fun. Rock hard road tires are ... interesting. 160 kmph lock ups are exciting.

I was breaking in a new set of dunlop rz02G's, they seemed to be pretty good, well they lasted longer than the brakes! LOL
They seemed to stick pretty well into the corners, but I was having to brake very early :x
Wear.. doesnt seem to be a hell of a lot... now back to my crappy road tyres

Would slicks make an incredible different if you are already running similar width high end road tires? (e.g. potenzas) ?

Just wondering cos they seem similarly priced...

I guess it comes down to the compound and tread pattern of said high end road tyre

Slicks IMO would make a much bigger difference as you have more rubber on the track, be able to run at hotter temperatures with higher levels of grip than a normal road tyre.

IMO, bang for buck on the track you cant really go wrong with slicks... unless it rains

I agree with that guy *points to the post above*. The thing with so-called 'high end' road tyres, is they're designed to stick to the road well with minimal temperature in them, therefore, on the track, they tend to melt and don't actually work all that well...

Whereas slicks on the other hand, as Andrew found out the hard way, are like driving on ice when they've got no temperature in them, but when they warm up, well, they stick like sh1t to a blanket...

Was t2 (mini-me turbo  ) but that blew its guts so now its running a subaru VF10. I think its IHI?

They are plentiful and cheap.

I dont know the specs but its a damn sight bigger than what came off, although not t28 size.

Hows your car coming on?

Runs now, but have decided to recon the turbo that's on there rather than look for a 2nd hand T28. Trying to get it legal by March.
