2HOT2 Handle 2006

Postby 2Hot2 Handle » Fri Dec 02, 2005 1:14 pm

2HOT2 Handle car show and street sprints is coming up again on the weekend of April 8-9 2006 (the week before Easter). This time we are planning even more spectacular track events including a special fire breathing night session and featuring two jet cars.

This is an invitation to your car club to attend the show and display vehicles in the pits area, which next year will be under cover on the ground level car park. We are providing:

A dedicated roped off area in the pits
24-hour security on site from the time you deliver and collect your vehicle
Two free entry passes for two days for each car
A range of accommodation options as negotiated by 2HOT2 Handle
Areas for club meetings on the Stadium’s Level 2 West and Eastern lounges
A 2HOT2 Handle “Goodies Bag” including generous discount vouchers

We recognised and have addressed some of the problems we faced in the car club area last Easter. The pits will be a major area of attraction with lots of action and interest with the track race vehicles drawing people into this area. The big limitation is power for spotlights, but generators can be arranged at the club’s expense if required.

If your club wants to use the stadium lounges you will need to book your times with us. These will be allocated on a first-come, first served basis. We can arrange stadium catering if this is required. Stadium rules do not allow any food or beverage to be brought into the facility.

We look forward to you joining us for a bigger, brighter and more exciting 2006 HOT2 Handle on Saturday and Sunday of April 8-9. Email info@2hot2handle or telephone if you have any further queries or want to book space.

We would appreciate a headsup that you intend to post something like this before you do so, yes...
But no problems.
However as its a Wellington region event I've moved you to the Wellington forum.

Cheers
BJ :)

what makes the 3s the superior engine (especially in this situation)

So basically, there is going to be a toyspeed display? and all cars in the display get in for free? so how does toyspeed go abouts choosing what cars to represent?
O yea and what happens if you want to have your car representing toyspeed in the display and also on the track ;) kiking ass

At this stage, as far as I know, there is no plan for a Toyspeed presence at 2H2H.

If someone (a regular) wishes to put their hand up to organise such thing, then I'm sure there'd be a few people keen. This would have to be approved by admins...

Unfortunately Toyspeed doesn't have the funds to pay for vehicle entries, so if a stand is organised, it'll be up to the organiser/entrants to raise the money/pay for the stand.

Sadly they wont be  and as Gadget said it ends up being down to the individual clubs themselves to sort out entry fees etc...

Serves as an advertising medium for us really, but the show is very cool.. much better value than autosalon IMO...

Hey you've got it wrong! Clubs do not have to pay to enter - and each car gets 2 adult passes per day so you can keep your car company!! Hope some of you will be there. www.2hot2handle.co.nz

That sounds alright actually. But alas the monkey paint job just aint up to it. Lol.

Is anyone anymore keen to do this?

I would, pending new paint, but I don't have the time to be the organiser unfortunately. I guess if its a simple display with no theme then it wouldn't be too hard to organise?.

And most of us are doing the sleeper/track thing these days come to think of it. Would be kind of interesting having some non-bling cars (track mods / go-not-show on display?

Am more than happy for people to organise it if they see fit. My car will already be in the show anyway, so unfortunatly i cant participate, but can help out those who are keen to enter..

So - not long now and the show is shaping up to be bigger and better than last time. If you're interested in racing, you can get a registration form from www.2hot2handle.co.nz - or if you want club registration forms (it's free, remember) email kristie@2hot2handle.co.nz.
