can anyone tell me about the internals
in the g52 and how they compare to the w55?

My understanding:
G series use very similar case to the W series. Same front bolt pattern so will bolt to any W55/56/57/58/59 bellhousing.
Same strength I'm told.
Ratios some are similar/same as the W55, others have up to 3.9:1 1st gear.

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

the G52 has bigger bearings. and the gear stick is further forward than the w55.

Resurrect.

Anyone know the spline count on the input shaft and the usable flywheel dia on the G52?

W55 etc and E series boxes are 21T with a diameter of ~29mm.

Thought W55s were 22t?

Edit, went and counted, you were right, 21 :)
